Suz

RIP
28/09/2007 - 28/02-2009 (17 Months)
Suz was purchased from a very loving, caring, family owned pet shop. Suz was adopted at the same time as we adopted Lady & Cutie. The reason for adopting 3 Ratties is because we had 3 children that really wanted some pet Ratties and being that I have had pet Ratties previously I felt that it would be wonderful to have some again.
I have been told that I must add that Suz owns our eldest son.
We went to the pet shop expecting to bring home 3 siblings however there were only 1 girl (Suz) from an older litter & a Hannah who only had 2 female offspring left for adoption. We decided to adopted Suz because we were assured that she would get along fine with the other girls that we adopted the same day.
Suz has always been outgoing and very eager to explore her surroundings. Although Suz was adventurous she was still a little jumpy however she was the one to adjust to her new surroundings the fastest. As time progressed, with me sitting in the evening at the cage door encouraging Suz (and her sisters) to trust me she finally decided that my shoulder was a great place to see more of her new world.
Fast forward to now 6 months later. Suz is our second in charge in the girls cage however she challenges Cutie on a daily basis for the Alpha roll in their cage, to no avail yet. Suz is our busy body, she wants to be everywhere all at once, inside, up, down all over her new things and things that have been there for months. Suz also likes to make a mess with her food, she will throw her food bowls down the levels if they do not contain what she wants to eat. Many mornings I wake up to find that I am stepping on all the “unwanted” Suz foods.
Suz is rarely waiting for hand outs however she sits in waiting, if that door is even knocked she is there waiting with the other girls. Suz is very quick to grab and run with her stash even going so far as to fill her mouth so much that she has to hold the food in with one hand while finding a “safe” place to eat it.
