MARK

Mark came to us with his sisters Inca & Bliss on the 19th of July 2008. His history along with his sisters is a mystery which will never be clear although we do have our own thoughts on how his life was before he came into our care.
Mark was a very scared little man, every noise, move or echo scared him so we worked very slowly with him. He also had an issue with his penis which we had to treat. His Penis was unsheathed constantly which was a worry as this can cause infection and other issues. We lubricated his penis and area around this with Olive Oil 3-4 times a day and although Mark did not appreciate being touched like this he did not put up too much of a fight either. After 4 days of this treatment his penis would retract back into it’s sheath without issue.
Mark had a fairly good appetite although he was not terribly food motivated so most of the time I just had to carefully approach him and scoop him up for snuggles. As long as it was a quite area he was getting better at accepting that cuddles were good and no harm would come to him.
Our wish was that Mark would be adopted with his sisters when the time was right for them to all be adopted. Unfortunately Mark underwent a neuter surgery that looked as though it would be the normal kind however his fate was not so simple and he was taken from us too early. His body did not cope with the drugs that he had to have to be able to be neutered and he died shortly after he was placed in recovery at the vets office.
Our dreams were shattered for this little man as he would never get to be with his sisters and they themselves would have to live without him.
My own personal memories of Mark are of nothing but a very adorable little man, although scared he was a charmer and would have come around and become a very well adjusted fur baby.
He will always be remembered by not only us but by his sisters who we believe he lives through even to this day. He will also be remembered by all of our forum members who were around when his progress was being tracked.
Now he plays with all the other fur babies at the Rainbow Bridge.
