Food and Feeding
We have created these food lists in an effort to help you with the food choices you make for your Rats. Although it is a common belief that Rodents are scavengers and will eat anything, this is untrue. There are foods that can be deadly for your Rats (please see our unsafe food list for a list of dangerous or use with caution foods).
Lab blocks (known also as Rat Cubes) that are made specifically for lab rats can be obtained from us. The Lab blocks we sell are made to meet all the rats nutritional needs and as such we encourage all rat owners to have a supply of them available to the rats 24/7 along with a mixed diet of dry mix and fresh fruit, vegetables and some meats.
